Today as you can guess was my moms birhtday. Today I cooked a big mexican feast , soft beef tacos, taco lesgagne, enchiladas, and taco salad bowls.
it was nice, the food was good too. then we took those family photos, and had cake and then i took my mom to the casino for a bit.
the day went real nice, she enjoyed it alot.

our trip to kelowna

kelowna was fun.
we took noah and maiya and glenny to Scandia fun park, there were kiddies rides, games and a fake singing bear show. Noah had so much fun , while maiya slept. we played deal or no deal for fun park tickets, and at the end of the afternoon, we walked out with a $50 stuffed puppy dog and sticker tattoos for noah.
we stayed at the best western, that hotel was great, spacious and affordable, we had our own door to the lawn outside and there were no carpets!! I think that was the best part about the room, NO CARPETS, our allergies never acted up from any carpets..woohoo!! i would definitly stay there again.
we strolled down to the mall, for the afternoon, it was nice to get out and shop. i bought maiya so many new dresses and noah clothes. i love to shop for my kids, it is so much fun.
plus i bought a Wii game, and brett set it up tonight, it is fun!! tiring but fun.
on our way home noah got sick, he threw up all the way home, ugh, it was so gross. we had to ride home with a puke smell in the car. My poor son was not feeling well. now he is alot better.
my moms bday is coming this sunday, wow already, then we are heading home on the tuesday. time sure flies.
everyone here is already getting sad for the babies to be leaving.
i get sad too, but thats life.
we have so much to do in so little time, we need to pack up all the kids stuff, mail most of it home and try to keep the back of our truck as empty as we can...lol ha like thats gonna happen.
well as for me....its almost 3am better get to bed.

this afternoon, maiya has been in a great mood, she has been cooing, and smiling, so here is a short video clip of daddy making maiya smile for the camera.

we are very excited for next week, we are going to kelowna for 2 nights just to have a lil getaway, and then the week after that, we are heading home. I am excited to be going back to see all the family and introduce maiya to everyone there.

but of course i will miss my family here as well. I always cry when we leave here, i get so cranky the day or two before we leave, but i am getting better at the goodbyes.

hopefully my parents will be able to come to bella bella for teh celebration of life feast so they can witness maiyas uplifting. When noah got uplifted i felt happy and proud to be his mother, and i am excited for maiya getting uplifted.

March 4th 08

Its been a bit of a tiring week. Maiya has been up at all hours feeding, so that can only mean one thing....another growth spurt. she has already grown and gained weight of a 3 month old i think, but thats a good thing, she is healthy.

in this video she is awake at 5:30 am and as usual is happy as can be, as for me im half asleep still, but thats what i signed up for when i became preggo...lol I am enjoying every moment of it, having two children, who light up the day with their smiles, and noah with his being naughty stage of life..lol. Maiya has started to do a little bit of a laugh, and she loves to smile real big. noah hasnt changed in the past week, he is still up to no good, and loving every moment of it, plus he really loves his sister.

monday we are going to the okanogan for a couple of days, taking maiya and noah on their first road trip together as bro and sis. it should be exciting.

I have been wanting to baptise noah and maiya at my church before we go home. and this was the church where all of my family has been baptised and married, from me to my grandparents. its a special church to me, why i dunno. any how, i have been trying to call the priest to get him to baptise them, he asked me 1000 questions, from when was i baptised, by whom, where and when was i married, was brett baptised, where and when was he, and are we married, when and where did we get married. ugh, i never thought it would be so hard to do this but it is. he even asked what type of person my hubby was, where he went to school, what his job is, i really dont see how that is relevent. anyway today he called me and asked me these questions all over again, then he asked me to prove that my marriage was done properly, in the eyes of the catholic church, and to show the proper documentation that it was, if i cant prove it, then he wanted us to get married again, the way it is supposed to be. then he said it is a difficult thing to baptise my babies because brett is christian.....so i asked him, "so you dont want to baptise my children, is that what I am hearing, because you say my marriage is not proper, and my husband is christian?" he said yes. by that time i was losing my cool, i felt my blood rush, and my temper raising. I said, my marriage, was done in the catholic church, by a catholic minister. and he responded, was this a minister, justice of the peace, or an actual priest? I said a minister. he said that wasnt proper!!!! Bull i said. I was so mad at him and very very angry at the things he said, so i said heck with it and hung up on him.

who is he to turn away 2 babies!!! in my point of view that isnt being gods worker, that is just wrong to say and turn away two babies. Actually 3 because my brother wanted to baptise his newborn, but the priest told him he couldnt because he wasnt married.

i was so mad at this guy that i cried for 10 mins, then i let it go because if i let every jerk bother me then i would be a wreck.

well things have been well lately. my little family is doing great, we are heading home on the 18th and catching the ferry on the 22nd. we are planning on taking it slow, and maybe go through sidney and victoria, then nanaimo and then down the rest of the island. i love to travel with my family. i think travelling is the most relaxing time in our lives.
maiya is well, gaining weight like crazy, she has already growen a inch and a bit.
noah on the other hand is still quite mischivious. boy when he wants to get into trouble , he does. but it is funny, because he is growing and learning as he goes.
I caught him trying to feed his sister grapes......i jumped and grabbed the grape as fast as i could.
crazy kid.

well thats all i have to say now, i am off to bed, nighty night.
